Huawei will not avoid its tablet releases early at any time, so now it is planning to launch the Huawei MatePad C3 edition. It has just leaked, and appears to be sporting an 8-inch screen, plus a MediaTek CPU, all detailed below. It seems that two entry level Huawei slates have recently been approved by Chinese authority 3C.
Their model numbers are AGS3-W00D and AGS3-W00E and those are 10W charging tablets. One of them will end up as the Huawei MatePad C3 and it’ll have an 8-inch display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. Within we find an MT8768 MediaTek processor, with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. There is also a single 5 MP camera on the back side, plus a 2 MP selfie photographer. Finally we add a 5100 mAh battery to those. The app runs on Android 10 based on EMUI 10, and Bluetooth 5.0 is also supported here.
The source also cites a pricing of Huawei MatePad C3 around $224 for a want tobe entry level unit, which is kind of high. Best earned should have been $180 or $160. It sounds like a product for children, for casual users, for the educational environment. We can’t tell if it’s going to have services from Google or not, but it seems more likely its lack. Expect a body made of plastic, big bezels and modest performance. At best, it can run arcade games, and use them for Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and the like.
The tablet may not really be all new. These rumored specs are similar to the specs of the Huawei MatePad T8 released recently. Huawei may have intended to launch the MatePad T8 in China as Huawei MatePad C3.
