Launched last November, Stadia sentence today to convince. But Google may be able to rely on the free plan to allow a maximum of players and of players to try out its cloud gaming service. Initially expected in the beginning of the year 2020, the basic option was launched in the 14 countries where Stadia is available (France including) — can we read in a press release sent April 8 to the press.
As the main argument to discover Stadia, Google is offering two months of Pro subscription to all the world (even to those who are already users, who will not have to pay during the period in question). In the same way, the controller marketed by Google, is not mandatory to test the platform. This means that the opportunity is indeed free and that there are no hidden fees. It will still have to pay for the games, knowing that Stadia Pro can be used to get nine free of charge in the month of April (the list will evolve in may).
At the end of two months, you will have the choice between continue with Stadia Pro (9,99 euros per month) or opt for the free plan. If this is the case, you will lose the free games but keep the ones you have purchased (even at a reduced price). It is pointed out that Stadia Base does not play in 4K, and is limited to the definition 1080p (framerate to 60 fps and stereo sound).
