Samsung is one of the few manufacturers to still offer touch pads on the market. His next creature, the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 ”, has just been revealed in press releases gleaned from the leaker Evan Blass.

We don’t know when it will be officially presented, but at least we learn that it exists. Thanks to the professional leaker Evan Blass, we can admire the look of the next affordable tablet from Samsung. The Galaxy Tab A 8.4 ”seems to appear as a successor to the Galaxy Tab A 8” which was formalized last summer.

An entry-level tablet up to date

As the name suggests, the product will display an 8.4 inch display, a small gain compared to the 8 inch of the 2019 model, but this is what would allow the panel to display a Full HD + definition of 1 920 x 1,200 pixels. Better, therefore, compared to the definition of 1280 x 800 pixels (WXGA) of the previous version. The borders are also greatly reduced, above all on the upper and lower parts of the product. A design that makes it look like a Galaxy Tab 10.1 . Besides, the upper border contains a 5 megapixel front sensor.

Inside, Samsung would offer a home processor. It is therefore the Exynos 7904 which would be responsible for rotating the tablet. It would be coupled with 3 GB of RAM. For the battery, Evan Blass reports that it would be necessary to count on 5000 mAh. This is slightly less than the 5,100 mAh offered on the Galaxy Tab A 8 ”.

For the rest, it is a classic Galaxy Tab A. The design follows the lines established with the Galaxy Tab S5e released almost a year ago. For the moment, no date of presentation has been revealed and we imagine that with the current pandemic, it will not be anytime soon. But that could turn out to be a good tablet – if the performance of the Exynos turns out to be up to par.
